Longevity and Kp Astrology

I am here for the benefit of new students in astrology putting some grouping of houses as written by Shri Chanrakant Bhatt in his books Nakshatra Chintamni, Further Lights on Nakshatra Chintamani.

Although we should not predict longevity of any person until and unless its asked by the concerned person and its really imp.

Health, Accident and Diseases striking time is which most clients will ask you while they go through their life readings.

Sometimes its also important to know about the health of a person when he is in hospital.

To know before the critical periods in regard to Health crisis is also a very imp tool or any Astrologer to learn as it will build his clients confidence on him and also will increase his fame.
As in Kp Astrology Grouping of Houses is the backbone of reading a horoscope.

Grouping of Houses

Longevity:

1. Consider the houses 1, 8 and 3 for longevity.

a). Maraka Houses. The 12th to any particular house denotes non-existence of the matter signified by that particular house. So the houses 12 (12th to 1), 7 (12th to and 2 (12th to 3) are known as the maraka (death dealing) houses.

b). Badhaka houses. The house11 is badhaka (harmful to life) to those born in Moveable signs as their Ascendants; the 9th for those born in Fixed signs and 7th for those born in Common signs.

Death:

The Badhaka houses are more harmful than the Maraka houses. So for death consider first the Badhaka house and then Maraka houses. Saturn is the chief governor of longevity.

Health:

Consider the Ascendant for health.

If the sublord of the Asc (Ascending Degree) is in the star of the occupant of the house 1 or 11, health is normal.

If its in the star o the occupant or owner of 6 ( sickness or disease), 8th( danger to lie), or 12( bed ridden sickness), it is not good or health.

Disease and Cure:

For disease consider the house 6 for sickness or disease.

If the sublord of the 6th cusp is in the star of occupant or owner of 6th or 1 the native may suffer from disease.

For Cure

Consider the houses 1, 5 and 11 (1st, health, 5th is 12th to 6. absence of sickness, 11th is 12th to 12. absence of bedridden sickness).

Accident:

Consider the houses 8 and 12 for accident (8th-serious illness, accident, suicide; 12th self-undoing, confinement in bed or hospital).

If the sublord of the Asc or of the 8th cusp is in the star of the occupant or owner of the 8th or 12th the native will meet with an accident.

If the sublord is in the star o the occupant or owner of the 8th and 7th and 2nd houses the accident can prove fatal.

If it is in the star of the occupant or owner of 2nd or 7th or 11th houses the native will survive.

Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu cause an accident.
